Windows Installation Procedure

To begin the self-install Windows 11 upgrade:

  1. Launch the Start Menu
  2. Type in Software Center, hit Enter
  3. When the Software Center launches, look for Windows 11 23H2 Upgrade PreCache (marked as Available) under ‘Operating Systems’ or ‘Available Software’ tab.

  4. Upon clicking the item, you will be presented with the Install Prompt

  5. You will be asked to confirm that you want to install the new operating system

  6. The task sequence will begin and several subtasks will run during the process

  8. If successful, the actual installation should start

  10. If you are working with multiple monitors, the one running Software Center will be maximized with a blue background while Windows installs
