Microsoft SharePoint is a place to build secure internal websites to store, organize, and share information. Depending on your needs, the Peds IT team will work with you to develop a site using one of two SharePoint systems:
- SharePoint On-Premise:
- Hosted in the UFHealth data centers
- Approved for PHI and restricted data
- Requires access to the UF Health network or VPN
- SharePoint 365:
- Hosted on Microsoft servers outside of UF
- Approved for sensitive and restricted data with the exception of patient treatment information
- Can be accessed through any internet connection
