We are excited to announce that Windows 11 is now available for self-installation starting the week of March 3, 2025! This marks an exciting transition as we move towards a more advanced and secure operating system.
With Windows 10 reaching its end of support on October 25, 2025, it will no longer be supported or usable within the department. Upgrading to Windows 11 will ensure you have access to the latest features, security updates, and improvements.
Starting in April, we will begin the required deployment of Windows 11, which will automatically update and restart your system. Keep an eye out for future communications to your division with your specific deployment dates. Please refer to the table below for the deployment schedule.
To self-install Windows 11 on your machine, simply locate the Software Center shortcut on your desktop. Find the Windows 11 installation option and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. View our installation guide for more details.
